Freedom is not free and we can only expect those who value our freedom are the ones that have had to fight (or work very hard) to achieve this freedom. Simply giving freedom will never instill the true value of freedom in a person who resides in America.
Brian Richard, Arlington, TX, US Army, Captain, 1984-Present
In our "oath of allegience" we swore to uphold and defend the United States of America and the Constitution thereof against all enemies, foreign and domestic.
We have a domestic enemy that now threatens our nation and our Constitution. We must take America back.
Lawrence Headrick, Tunnel Hill, GA, USA/USAF, Sgt, 1948-1964
I am in total agreement that our governmental leadership has failed our country regarding immigration and securing our borders. I am 100% for LEGAL immigration and want the illegals and whomever sponsors/ supports illegal immigration to face legal action and pay a substantial penalty for their illegal actions.
Lastly, I feel strongly that veterans and select government help can wrestle this problem to the ground. We have computer technology and closing military facilities...we can sort through these illegals and accomplish it for less then the government is paying out in welfare and support of this failed immigration policy.
Patrick Robey, Valrico, Florida, Army, LTC, 1980-2006
We need to STOP the flow of illegal immigrants into this country. Proposing to allow amnesty to the ones already here is not only dangerous and irresponsable, but is unacceptable. Our government does not have the right to hand over our country to a bunch of illegals. Its time all who are veterans who faught for our way of life to step up to the plate and start making our voices heard very loud and very clear. We took the oath to support and defend the constitution of the United States of America against ALL ENEMIES FOREIGN AND DOMESTIC. To me, That does'nt end because i'm no longer in the military, it'll end the day I die.
Brian Stevens, Altoona, Iowa, USMC, E-5, 9 years
I served in Vietnam to protect the free people of South Vietnam from Invasion by the Northern Communists. Now my country is being INVADED FROM OUR SOUTHERN BORDERS by people fleeing from the tyranny of Latin American Countries economic policies.
Our Borders must be SECURED and DEFENDED immediately, by FORCE OF ARMS if necessary !
Richard Cormier, Running Springs, California, US ARMY, SP5, 1967-1969
Unless we stop illegal aliens from crossing that border, we will one day say good bye to our America. It is apparent by their flag waving that they don't want to "join" us, they want to make us Mexico.
Jason Kowing, Sacramento, California, Navy, E-4, 1991 - 1995
Americans overwhelmingly reject Illegal Immigration as evidenced by numerous polls. Why can't our Senators understand that and support the will of the people?
Robert J. Dennis, Mission Viejo,, CA, Navy, ETM 2/C, 1945-1947
When I see such disrespect for our flag - this is a slap in the face to every veteran who died and fought for USA Freedom. I'm seething and am ready to take up arms if it comes to that.
Richard Kimbrough, Zion, IL, USMC, E3, 1968-1970
Great website! It amazes me that so many Americans are afraid to stand up to this invasion that we have going on in our own country. This illegal invasion has been going on for years now, and it is time to stop it, now! We are not only fighting a global war on terrorism, but also a war here, in the United States. A war that is for our right to survive as a free nation! WAKE UP AMERICA! Let's get these illegals out, now! They are already filling up our prisons and jails, getting free education, free medical, free handouts at the taxpayers expense, while the average American can't even afford basic necessities!
How many more times to we have to listen on the phone, "Press 1 for English, 2 for Spanish". How many more times do we have to see flyers, newspapers, and billboards written in Spanish? It just keeps getting worse! They should conform to OUR standards, not the other way around. This is OUR country.
Barry Luedke, Imperial Beach, CA, U.S. Navy, E-6, 1993 - Present
General Tommy Franks said it best "We can secure our borders if we want to." It is evident that President Bush refuses to and is gambling with American lives.
David Thorn, Glendale, Arizona, Marines, Sgt. E-5, 1963-1967
We believe that Immigrants should be coming in legally so we know who we have in the country. Since 9/11/2001 we do not know if terrorists are coming in illegaly.
Stephen and Lois Chemistruck, Allbuquerque, NM, Army, PFC, 1942-1945
Allowing amnesty to illegal immigrants is a slap in the face to immigrants that took the time and effort to follow the legal process. It is also difficult to promote a society of law and order when your neighborhood is inundated with individuals who are in violation of the law. This illegal activity is destroying this country. Please help to stop this epidemic.
Albert Blais, Framingham, Massachusetts, U.S. Army, Sergeant Major, 1982 - present
It is quite apparent from the illegals protesting in our city streets carrying flags of foreign countries, that this country has been invaded and is being occupied by force.
These people are trying to take over this country, not just have a piece of the American dream.
I don't speak spanish! and refuse to learn it...
Richard Nieber, Houston, Texas, U.S. Air Force, A/1C, 1957 - 1963
I resent the amesty to illegals who broke the law to get here to work. They take more than they give by overwheling out schools, hospitals, and social services. The problem isn't letting them stay to work but to fix their country so they can find jobs where they come from. The greedy corporations need to pay a fair wage for a fair day's work for Americans.
FREDRIC GNADT, HOLIDAY, FL, USAF, 1LT, 20 YR 2 MO 13 DAYS
The security of our country and the economic health of our states and nation require that we secure our borders. Legal Immigrants are welcome.
Gerald Humphrey, Manteca, Ca, USMC, CPL E-4, 1955-1963
Not only secure our borders, but search out, detain and deport as many millions of illegals as humanly possible.
The Mexican nation squandered Texas, NM, Az and Ca in the 19th century by violating constitutional law, so they have NO claim on this land. They blew it, we fought for it, it is OUR land.
Bill McNair, Fort Worth, TX, USMC, E4, 1967-1971
We must Completely Secure Our Borders and all Ports of Entry. Our country is being Invaded by Illegal Immigrants refusing to follow the laws we served to Uphold and Protect.
David Hanoff, Las Vegas, Nevada, USAF, SSgt (E-5), 1976-1985
I believe we are in a fight for our collective identity as Americans - one that we MUST win, for our children's, and our grandchildren's, futures.
Semper Fidelis
Mary Leverett, Splendora, TX, USMC, LCpl, 1977-1983
I recived two bronze stars in vietnam and I'm not going to let an invasion from Mexico happen.
Max Brown, Nampa, Idaho, Army, E4, 1967-1969
Legal immigrants, not Illegal Aliens, should have access to our great country that many of our relatives have fought and died for, to protect our freedom of worship, speak English and earn a livable wage.
Will our government open it's eyes to the crisis on our border that grows more perilous - to our friends and loved ones - with each passing day. Americans have fought and died to protect this nation in the past. Will our government require another blood price of it's citizens on our soil before it does the job it was elected to do for the future of the United States of America as our fore fathers demanded in our Constitution. Freedom is not free! It is a price many have made to protect this United States against foreign countries invading our borders, endangering our people and encroaching upon our customs.
Vincent Taylor, Kaufman, TX, Army, E-5, 1978-1982
I am prepared to defend the borders of our country from the foriegn invaders that have permeated our land. It is time that America wakes up and secures our land.
Michael Land, Alvarado, Texas, Navy, E5, 1986-1998
Why not use some of us veterans to secure the border? I would love to confront individuals like the two in the lower pictures on the home page.
Bill Sandlin, Irvine, California, USMC, L/Cpl, 1958-1963
This insanity on our border and on our streets is not what I served my country for!!! When I served, I guarded the borders of other countries--why is it that our military is not being used to guard our own borders???
Ron Bell, Orange, CA, Army, E4p, 1982--1990
