people are fooling themselves if they think that "everything is going to be okay" if things like this continue and it isn't fear-driven it is taking responsibility that generation after generation of politicians have shirked- Well, no more I say
Charles Abrams, Lakewood, CO, National Guard, Sgt, 1991-2005
I wrote my first letter about our non-enforcement of our soverign boders in 1989. No amnesty, just black list them to never get a green card or become citizens. For each person caught at the border America should deduct ten thousand dollars from any U.S. Aid being sent to that persons country of origin. I am retired after 20 years with U.S. Customs. Thanks...
Byron Cagle, McAllen, TX, U.S. Army, Sgt E-5, 1968-1969 2 years
The time has come to secure the borders. We as a nation can not continue the way things are.
Once the borders are secure, employeers should be held accountable.
Then the 10-12 million illegals will deport themselves.
It's time (way past time) to stand up and be counted. I've supported President Bush from the sart but he's got it wrong this time.
Secure the borders NOW!
Asa Bricker, Snohomish, WA, USMC, Cpl, 1975-1979
It seems to me that we need a General Court Martial for every elected person in Washington D.C. for treason
Ken Burrows, Las Vegas, NV, Army, Capt, 1962-1971
Anybody ever try to get the things that the illegals are allowed to get? Bank loans, Social Security, food stamps or such. Makes me sick!
Stephen Elkin, Decatur, AL, U.S.N., PO-3, 1968-1972
Close the Borders, and stop the invasion.
George Nelson, Harrison, MI, USMC, L/cpl, 1967-1970
CLOSE THE BORDERS,SECURE THIS NATION!THEN deal with IMMIGRATION.
James Underhill, Mount Olive, NC, US AIR Force, E4, 1963 through 1966
We travel the world protecting the borders of other countries, but at home, our President IGNORES our own borders. What happened???
Don Marciniak, East Palestine, OH, Army, Spec 4, 1972-1975
I live in southern Az., I see whats happening.
Ray Stephenson, Tucson, AZ, USMC, S sgt, 1965-1970
A lot of good men and women have died protecting these borders. It kills me to see our politicians let criminals just walk over and take our freedoms and put our lives in jeopary. We are giving our land away to people who don't deserve it
Matthew Baker, Terrell, TX, USMC, LCPL, 1981-1987
I dispair of the condition of my country and the so-called leaders we have.
John Plunkett, Abilene, TX, Army, SFC, 1969-1982
I really appreciate your work. You are the defenders of America. WE must unite all races and conquer this force which means to break us down.
God Bless the USA and together we can defeat this issue
Daniel Pinto, La Palma, CA, ARMY, 2LT, 1990-2002
secure it or lose it
Jon Randall, monroe, OR, USAF, e 4 sgt, 1968-1972
America must have secure borders and ports to insure the that America remains a free and sovereign country.
When a country no longer enforces it's laws and rewards people for breaking it's laws, it will eventually destroy it's self.
Loren Rohde, Rialto, CA, U. S. Army, Staff Sgt., 1952-1954
As a victim of crime by illegal aliens I am offended that our country isn't doing anything to stop this invasion and deport these criminals who are intent on taking our jobs, benefits and lives.
James Hux, Lancaster, CA, army, e-3, 1969-1971
americans need to wake up, we can't let criminal's take our country from us and we can't let the bozo's in washington give it to them. GOD BLESS AMERICA!
joe gallagher, aurora, CO, air force, e-4 sgt, 1971-1974
I am a proud member of the Minuteman Civil Defense Corp, Northern Ca chapter, and as such fully support the right of all citizens, and especially Vets, to help secure our borders at all costs.
jack pate, el sobrante, CA, USAF, E5, 1966-1970
Our country is being invaded and our country's leaders are doing nothing. The very first course of action after the attack on 911 would have been to secure our borders. What part of illegal in illegal immigrant don't they understand? Call your elected officials and let them know if they can't figure out how to get the job done, when they've had 5 years they should be replaced by leaders who can and will.
Craig Berger, Riva, MD, Air Force, Airman 1st class, 1965-1968
My sons life was lost due to the us army
Jarvious Weaver, Iuka, MS, regular army, pv2, 2002-2003
Just becoming despondent about the whole illeagal alien situation.
Robert Riley, Atlanta, GA, U S Army, E 5, 5
We are one people with shared values and experiences that transcend our differences and characterize our willingness to form a melting pot. We are immigrants who came here legally. We speak one language which pledges our allegiance to one flag for the good and benefit of all. We are one nation, the United States of America. Our history serves as a testament to many challenges that we the people have overcome.
Allowing illegal foreign nationals to sashay and promonade across our southern borders to the extent to which they have for decades without repudiation is a national disgrace and injustice for every law abiding citizen
This foreign insurrection is based solely on corporate greed whose collective ambition is to undermine the strides in wages and working conditions that we as a people have dutifully achieved and I implore the fortitude of our elected officials and fellow citizens to take back America and return to the rule of law and the virtues of being a citizen.
There is no allegiance to our country by these insurgents who cross our southern borders in the shadows. Therefore, they are undeserving of the privileges of liberty and justice that American citizens have earned through toils and triumps in defining moments throughout our past.
In plain English these foreign parasites devalue our structure of decency and moral propriety. They deserve scorn and ridicule for denigrating the character of our nation by the underhanded method they use to enter our sovereign nation ahead of legal immigrants who wait patiently in line.
The failure to secure our borders
has put us all at risk in ways that we have yet to realize. There is no more room for complacency and accommodation.
